Peter A. Stauffer, M.E., P.E.



Mr. Stauffer has over 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering including field and laboratory investigations, engineering analysis and design, preparation of construction documents and construction phase services. Prior to joining Michael W. West & Associates, Inc., Mr. Stauffer was engineering manager of the Maxim Technologies, Inc. Denver office and, prior to that, a senior consulting geotechnical engineer with Woodward-Clyde Consultants.

Pete has worked on a wide range of projects including mine facilities, tailing impoundments, earth and earth-rock dams, roller-compacted-concrete dams, water treatment plants, foundations, transportation facilities, static and seismic stability evaluations, landslide analysis and design of stabilization measures, and damaged structures. He has managed projects ranging from small geotechnical investigations to large multi-discipline design and construction projects overseas. He is skilled in the identification and implementation of innovative and cost effective solutions to client problems.
